Drama

I'm a mess right now. Weeks ago, I was very happy because I was having one of my best days then in one snap, my world suddenly tilted.

In my age, 16 years if you must know,  parents are too strict when it comes to extra curricular activities. I am super thankful that my parents are the ones that I have right now but there are times when they get to my nerves. Added to that was the fact that i'm living with the grandparents so the rules implemented are doubled.

There are times when people in my age tend to have fun and forget that we are still in the custody of our parents, freedom tops our list of must-haves. But as usual, elders will always get in the way. They would tell you that studying should top your priority and all the things you want in your checklist will come through after graduating. But hey, we also need a break! Pressure from the parents and the curiosity of who we really are  and what we have to be also requires a little adventure.

This adventure requires us to goof around, look for our destined field, make mistakes and of course, learn from the experience. How can we get this if the parents won't allow us to trip once in a while? I know that paternal and maternal's love is always present but they've been through here so they should understand us too. The saying "Papunta ka pa lang, pabalik na ako" is a little bit wrong. Yes you can advice about your experiences but people differ in every aspects possible. You may have gone the rough way to get where you are but that doesn't mean that i'll also go through it.

This is my first melodramatic post so excuse me for being a little bit cracky. I'm not used to sharing my thoughts out loud, I always keep it to myself. Things are getting better right now, I finally knew how to think positively. This other side of me, the blogger thing, is very helpful and i'm grateful that I was able to recognize this kind of me at the right phase of my teenage life :) Enough with the drama, will post happy thoughts next time. Til next!

Pasig River Run

It's my first participation in a run for a cause, and it was ultimately a big event! Imagine a bumper to bumper traffic at 5am?! Well, I think another kilometer was added to our run because we had to walk to the starting point instead of driving all the way there. The supposed starting time is 5am but we ended up starting at around 6:30am.

We went to our designated clusters by 5:45. Waiting for the others.
There were too many clusters for the 3K so we end up walking from the starting point of 5K! Unfair :(

Started the run walk by 6:30 =)) The sun is up na!

When the globe came to view, everyone was like "whoo!"

After crossing the finish line, it was too hot already so while walking going to the fastfood chains, umbrellas suddenly appeared! My cutie umbrella would kill me if I won't be using her ;)

My bus buddy, too bad we separated during the run, we just saw each other again when we were about to ride the bus =))

I was shocked by the actual number of people who came, it was my first time so I didn't know what to expect. The realization came to me when I was crossing the finish line, that my sweat and effort would be for a good cause and it was really fun interacting with people who came from all walks of life. I will definitely drag my family into this kind of events next time :)

Bloggers United 2!

Manila’s finest fashion bloggers will leave their laptops at home once again to attend BLOGGERS UNITED BAZAAR (Part 2) on December 3, 2011 at Treston International College, Taguig, this coming holiday season.

It is the second installment of the first-ever Bloggers United: An Interactive Shopping Affair, which was held last May. Due to insistent demand from readers and bloggers alike, Bloggers United(http://www.facebook.com/bloggersunitedph) team in partnership with the country’s largest online shopping website, Multiply Philippines (http://multiply.com/) have gathered Manila’s fashion bloggers to sell their pre-loved but very stylish closet pieces!

This event is the perfect opportunity for both bloggers and their adoring readers to mingle and personally interact with each other. Fun contests and exciting giveaways from sponsors and entertaining performances from bloggers (Walkie Talkies, Reese & Vica) themselves will definitely keep this event from being a dull one.

Some of the notable bloggers attending the event include Divine Lee, Laureen Uy, Kookie Buhain, Lissa Kahayaon, David Guison, Karl Leuterio, Patricia Prieto and Preview Magazine’s own Daryl and Andre Chang.

But because Bloggers United wishes to go beyond the geographic limitations of the archipelago and extend its reach beyond Metro Manila and so for this event, they are flying in some of Cebu’s very own fashion bloggers which include Kryz Uy, Eden Villarba, designer Yves Camingue, Gillian Uang and Mildred Zapanta and a few more.

Part of the proceeds from this event will go to the GMA Kapuso Foundation (http://www.kapusofoundation.com/) for its school building project, a small but significant step to improve the Filipino youth’s access to education.

The organizers behind BLOGGERS UNITED BAZAAR (PART 2) are Ana Gonzales (http://anagonzales.com), Melai Entuna (http://styleandsoul.blogspot.com) and Aisa Ipac (http://ipaxme.blogspot.com),  a team of blogger friends encouraging camaraderie and sense of “community” among Manila’s (and eventually, the country’s) fashion blogging community through events and productions like this.

This is a one-day-only event that you shouldn’t really miss! It will be in a bigger venue with twice more the number of participating bloggers to meet! This is the perfect shopping day this Christmas because the most affordable and most fashionable clothes, accessories and footwear will be up for grabs. See you!

Location Details:
Treston International College
University Parkway District, 32nd Street corner C-5 Road
Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Metro Manila Phillipines

New found SISTERS!

Up until now, I am still extremely grateful for I have been invited to the event because I did not only meet in person my blogger idols but also because I was able to gain friends that are of the same field of activity, BLOGGING :D As a fangirl, of course I gathered all my confidence and walk up to THE fashion bloggers for a photo :)

Angel Rodriguez & Baby Syrena

Like I said, we were off to Cyma right after the event courtesy of Love Diva :) Time to chit chat with the new sisterssss ♥ Cyma was a nice resto, it has the perfect ambiance for the not so intimate dinner. Will definitely tell the family to eat there in the future!

With the sistersss ♥

And of course, time for the photo ops :)) My outfit post was on the previous one  already :D

DIVA!

Hey sweeties! Look who's in town, say hello to Love Diva! :) It's their first branch here in PH and congrats to the south-based fashionistas, they opened at Alabang Town Center!
Super nice logo :)

This is the first thing we saw in the entrance, this gave me the feeling that i'm a true blogger already :''>

The store is very organized, as soon as you step inside, you'll be in awe because it's not like the other stores that can give you a headache because colors are all mixed up. Here, they have different themes that houses the pieces which  are of the same colors and the same style. Here's a tour:

Right side, forgot to take the shot for the left one.

Cuties! :)

A closer look to the fabulous pieces, very suitable during formal events.

Studded wayferers!

This caught my eyes :) Hello violet & bangles galore!

When we are all seated, we were given these cookies and a drink. Cuties right?

Ms. Melai of Style and Soul hosted the event. She was very witty and super nice!

To lighten up a bit, we had to "sell ourselves" =)) Here's my lines, "Hi! I'm Bea Perez of bamperez.blogspot.com. I am 16 y/o, an accountancy student and this is my very first event". Haha =)) Here are their candid shots while selling theirselves ;)

Ava Te ♥

Angel Rodriguez & the adorabe Syrena ♥

Then off to the Blogging and Styling workshop! The speakers are Kookie for the Blogging thing, Melai for the Opportunities and Tracy&Tin for the Styling thing.

"Your blog is your own personal space. ... Be truthful to what you write. ... You don't have to impress people." -- Kookie

"It's okay to repeat your clothes. ... Don't stress yourself with the haters, just don't mind them. ... You can't please everybody." -- Tracy

After the talk, we had a styling game! The readers will style the bloggers using the pieces inside the shop. We looked for pieces that will fit Ate Ana's personality and picked things that will go with the accessories chosen by our other sisters. Talk about teamwork! =)) Lo and behold, we won! BWAHAHAHA ;) Because of this, we received a prize :D Then everyone was given a 1000 worth GC that should be consumed the same day so everybody was looking around, too frustrated because everything is a must-have! After that, we're off to Cyma for dinner, c/o Love Diva :) AWESOME ♥

"We considered her own personal style and took advantage of her laid back outfit. We opted a Boho-chic look and used the necklaces as her head piece and belts."
-- This is our winning piece! Isn't she prettier with those accessories on? :)
Congrats to us sisters ♥

First official outfit post!
Dress: Mint -- Cardigan: Mom's closet -- Bag: Kenneth Cole -- Wedges: Parisian

This were the ones I got from winning the styling game (black bracelet on the left) and from my GC (Gold bicycle necklase and earrings). Love them to bits!

My sisters for the night, but will consider them as my sisters for the rest of my awesome life XD Thank you Ate Ana for inviting me and to Frances & Bea for making my night extra special :)

Will blog  the second part tomorrow :)

B ♥
